Ever since watching the Totoro movie, I have been all about Totoro.  I made the large Totoro out of perler beads already... now here is my smaller Totoro.  If you've seen the movie, the little Totoro is small, white and has chicken legs.  Here is my own version

Pegboard Size:
Built using a standard small square pegboard

Tayo the Little Bus Robort from Perler Hama Beads
Difficulty:

Description:
Continuinig my theme of TV and movie related perler bead creations, here is a Tayo the Bus Robot (after his eyes fell off).  Tayo is a curious little bus who has his own Korean TV show.  Halfway through creating this Tayo, I decided to make him into a Robot bus.

Description:
I love Totoro - the movie was just awesome.  So using a picture and mom's help, I created a Totoro from perler beads  I could not find a template that I liked, so we modified the one below and made it bigger.

Pegboard Size Used:
Built using two standard large square pegboard; although, you could eliminate two rows and fit it all on one.

Template:
Adapted from a picture I found online

There is something magical about Volkswagen (VW) mini-buses.  They are fun looking (so different from everything else) and so versatile - you can use them to camp in, drive around in or (in Portland) live in.
In the spirit of the hippies and fun adventurers that drive these VW mini-buses still, I made a rainbow colored van!

Pegboard Size Used:
Built using one standard large square pegboard.

We found a template on Pinterest.

In my Little Blue Truck book, he claims that the Limousine is "the longest car you've ever seen." So I looked over my beads and realized I didn't have one.  And now I do - a two-color blue limo, ready to pick you up and drive you and your friends to school.  I decided that since I was riding in a limo, it was probably a nice day (since I would have the sunroof open) - so I needed to make a sun.  So I made a sun too.

Pegboard Size Used:
Built using one standard large square pegboard - I fit both pieces on the same board.

Template:
Made it myself.  I even decided that my limo needed pointy wheels so it did not get stuck in the mud.    You can see close up pictures below, in case you want to copy them

I'm going to ride the Dinosaur Train! One of my favorite shows is Dinosaur Train on PBS & I wanted to make a dinosaur.  So, we found a template for this large triceratops dinosaur.  Isn't he so cute, every time I see this guy, I want to just hug him - but watch out, those horns are pointy!

Pegboard Size Used:
Built using two standard large square pegboard - he's just barely larger than one board

Template:
I lost the link to the template - but you can copy mine.

I love building cars & mini cars are fun, because you can build a lot very quickly.  The other day, I created this mini motorcycle and equally mini car.  These little vehicles are great for driving around my room - they are great at hiding in little corners of my room.

Two small Hexagon pegboards from this kit (you could use the same one twice though)

I created this Fire Truck out of perler beads today to add to my collection of emergency vehicles.  I love cars and things that go, so it is no surprise to see this trucks speeding through my perler bead neighborhood to help people/perlers in need.  I joke that this fire truck carries an iron to repair broken beads.

I've had a house guest all week.  Twinkle Star, the mascot of my school classroom, has been at our house.  Every week, someone at school gets to bring him home.  You take Twinkle with you on your fun activities.  You take pictures everywhere you go and then document your adventures in Twinkle's journal book.

We took Twinkle bowling and out for dinner (in addition to a bunch of other places).  I also, made him a perler bead chain to hang on his backpack - I made a tiny Twinkle Star!

Twinkle might look familiar, he's a star friend of Mario and Luigi (they are brothers)

This is part of my 'free-form' series of Perler beads that I have been making lately, where I use my creativity to make fun things.  This colorful and friendly monster is ready to play, despite his point arms and legs.  Hopefully you will enjoy him as much as I do.

Pegboard size used:
One small star pegboard from this kit (the 6-pointed star comes in just a few other sets too)

Template:
Just colored it myself. This creation looks like Disney's Real Hero 6, only pointy (see the picture below).

Using a heart pegboard, it was fairly easy to create the core pattern Then, using 2 small circle pegboards, I created the wheels.  The hardest part telling Mom what I was trying to create - a Heart Car on Wheels.
Using the iron, Mom created each shape and then ironed them together.  It's not too hard, just need to create wheels that are the same size and make sure everything irons together well.
I will be giving this car to Dad for Valentines Day next month, since he knows that I love cars and him.

 Pegboard size used:
One small heart pegboard from this kit and two Circle pegboards (or the same circle twice)

Template:
Just combined my love of cars and Dad to create this perler bead that I know he'll love

Sometime it is fun just to create without a template and barely a plan - to let the beads take you where they want to go.  The top picture is my fun rainbow creation.  The bottom picture is my pointer - the things that look like flat tires are the handles.

Pegboard size used:
Built using van template in this set

Template:
No template was used, I just made it up, that's what makes it art.
