Ever since watching the Totoro movie, I have been all about Totoro.  I made the large Totoro out of perler beads already... now here is my smaller Totoro.  If you've seen the movie, the little Totoro is small, white and has chicken legs.  Here is my own version

Built using a standard small square pegboard

Description:
Continuinig my theme of TV and movie related perler bead creations, here is a Tayo the Bus Robot (after his eyes fell off).  Tayo is a curious little bus who has his own Korean TV show.  Halfway through creating this Tayo, I decided to make him into a Robot bus.

Just looking at these perler bead fruits makes me hungry for a little snack.  These mini apples and oranges are perfect for Barbie's lunch or dinner

I love building cars & mini cars are fun, because you can build a lot very quickly.  The other day, I created this mini motorcycle and equally mini car.  These little vehicles are great for driving around my room - they are great at hiding in little corners of my room.

Two small Hexagon pegboards from this kit (you could use the same one twice though)

It was pretty easy to create my own Mickey Mouse out perler beads; I looked at a picture, found my race car template, and started building.

I've had a house guest all week.  Twinkle Star, the mascot of my school classroom, has been at our house.  Every week, someone at school gets to bring him home.  You take Twinkle with you on your fun activities.  You take pictures everywhere you go and then document your adventures in Twinkle's journal book.

We took Twinkle bowling and out for dinner (in addition to a bunch of other places).  I also, made him a perler bead chain to hang on his backpack - I made a tiny Twinkle Star!

Twinkle might look familiar, he's a star friend of Mario and Luigi (they are brothers)

This is part of my 'free-form' series of Perler beads that I have been making lately, where I use my creativity to make fun things.  This colorful and friendly monster is ready to play, despite his point arms and legs.  Hopefully you will enjoy him as much as I do.

Pegboard size used:
One small star pegboard from this kit (the 6-pointed star comes in just a few other sets too)

Just colored it myself. This creation looks like Disney's Real Hero 6, only pointy (see the picture below).

Sometime it is fun just to create without a template and barely a plan - to let the beads take you where they want to go.  The top picture is my fun rainbow creation.  The bottom picture is my pointer - the things that look like flat tires are the handles.

After building Lightning McQueen and so many cars, I started driving and racing my perler bead creations.  So, I needed a way to recognize the winner of these races, so I built a perler bead Piston Cup (the Piston Cup is the trophy Lightning McQueen is racing for in Disney's Cars Movie).

While my sister was building her pick-up and Airstream trailer, I decided to build a painted pick-up truck.  We live in Portland, OR and for whatever reason, people like to paint designs on their pick-up trucks and vans.  In fact, our neighbors have a pick-up painted with animals and bright colors.  Using that as inspiration, I created my own painted truck.

I love building cars.  It was very easy to build this mini car sedan and mini pick-up truck and they are great for driving around the house or parking in small spaces (such as under the couch)

I enjoyed building yesterday's perler bead Ambulance, so I built two more today.  I thought these could be the ambulances they use in Europe, since Dad says they have different sirens and look different than American Ambulances.

I have a lot of perler bead cars.  So many that they were starting to get in accidents.  I created this perler bead stop sign to help direct traffic and hopefully keep my beads safe.  This sign was pretty easy, the hardest part was figuring out where the letters went (and spelling STOP correctly)

No template used, just wanted a stop sign.  Feel free to use this as your template.

As I mentioned before, Jeeps are fun and easy to create.  You can make them all your own.  All you need are two wheels, a seat and a window.  I like to add a roof, lights and fun colored tires

It was pretty easy to create this holiday ornament; the hardest part was choosing what colors to use.  Using a hexagon template I created this Christmas colored ornament.  Then I created a mini-circle at the top.  Using the iron, Mom created each shape and then ironed them together After ironing the car, we put a string through and made my perler bead Ornament.

 Pegboard size used:
One small Hexagon pegboards from this kit (I created the circle inside of the ornament, to make it easier)

It was pretty easy to create a car ornament.  Using the car template in my race car set, I created a colorful rainbow car.  Right before Mom ironed my creation, we removed one bead.  After ironing the car, we put a string through and made my perler bead Ornament.

Circle patterns are a great way to build your perler bead skills.  The patterns are easy to follow and they just keep repeating themselves.  Since this was one of my earlier perler bead creations, I did need some assistance from mom.
Dad uses this as a coaster in his office
